Technology at Our Dental Clinics in Winnipeg

In the recent years, advancements in dental technology have made every treatment more effective and generally, affordable. With new technology available at our three dental clinics, Integral Dental, Ellice Dental, and Pearl Dental, we can provide you with efficient and precise treatments concerning your oral health. We use a wide range of technologies such as:

Cone Beam 3D Imaging

Our dental team uses this 3D imaging technology for precise diagnosis and treatment planning. Our cone beam 3D imaging system helps us in various dental treatments, including:

  • Treatment planning of orthodontic issues
  • Surgical planning for impacted teeth
  • Diagnosing temporomandibular joint disorder (TMJ)
  • Accurate placement of dental implants
  • Evaluation of the jaw, sinuses, nerve canals and nasal cavity
  • Detecting, measuring and treating jaw tumors
  • Determining bone structure and tooth orientation
  • Locating the origin of pain or pathology
  • Root canal treatment

This 3D imaging system helps us virtually eliminate all the guesswork, allowing our dentists to plan the dental procedures even before starting the treatment.

Digital X-ray

Dental x-rays are a common diagnostic procedure that is considered extremely safe. At Integral Dental, Ellice Dental, and Pearl Dental, we use digital X-ray technology that requires a significantly lower level of radiation than traditional x-rays, which means less exposure and a much safer experience for both the patient and the dental professionals administering the digital x-rays.  In addition, digital x-rays produce enhanced computer images of teeth, gums, and other oral structures and conditions, resulting in a better diagnosis and treatment.

E4D Same-day Dental Crowns

Conventional dental methods of placing crowns require two appointments with the dentist. With E4D same-day dental crowns, our dentists can create and place dental crowns in a single visit, without the mess and hassle of conventional impressions. This system removes the waiting period and can prevent potential discomfort during the appointment.

In conventional dental methods, a dentist usually prepares the tooth, takes an impression and places a temporary crown during the first visit. The temporary crown is in place for approximately 2-3 weeks, while the permanent crown is being fabricated. During that time, the tooth can become more sensitive and cause pain. Sometimes, the temporary crown could break or come loose!

With the E4D same-day dental crown system, you can save time as well as prevent prolonged discomfort. Same-day dental crown technology has completely revolutionized dentistry.

Cephalometric X-ray

A cephalometric X-ray (CEPH) is a diagnostic tool that is used for orthodontic treatment planning. Our dental team uses CEPH to help provide treatment plans for patients suffering from sleep apnea.

At Integral Dental, Ellice Dental, and Pearl Dental, we use dental technology to help patients of all ages to smile at their best. Give our Winnipeg dental offices a call today to schedule your next appointment.
